We stayed at the Ibis Budget Hotel in Saint-Etienne and were pleasantly surprised. the room was nice and welcoming, and the security guard went above and beyond to help us check-in late at night. the next morning, the lady taking care of the rooms was exceptionally friendly. the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the train station and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. It is also close to the tram station and bus stop, making it easily accessible to the city center. the car park was free and spacious, which was a bonus.

During my Christmas stay, I found two key location facts to be quite convenient. there were shops and restaurants within a short walking distance, making it easy to find a place to eat and shop. public transport was easily accessible, allowing for easy travel to the city centre. I enjoyed the cozy and comfortable bed provided in the room, ensuring a good night's sleep.

I did encounter a few negative aspects during my stay. the room was quite cold, despite trying to use the air conditioner for heating.

I chose this hotel mainly because it was close to my workplace, and I got great value for my money. The room was cozy and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was convenient with public transport access to the city center, and there were good restaurants nearby. The staff, from the security guard to the lady taking care of the rooms, were exceptional and made me feel welcome.

When it came to breakfast offerings, there was one thing that could have been better.

Me and my friends had a blast exploring Saint-Etienne. We hit up the super cool Le Fil, where we caught an awesome live music performance. And guess what? The hotel had satellite programming, so we could chill in our room and continue the party with some epic entertainment!

The only thing we would have asked for is a mini-fridge in the room. It would have been so clutch to have a place to keep our drinks nice and cold for pre-gaming before hitting the town.
